The value of Music and Dance is strongly represented at Peace
Through Play. Both are emphasized throughout the day. Music and Dance time is
when children learn about themselves and their peers through the medium of body
language. During Music and Dance time children learn to express themselves in a
variety of different ways. Activities include; yoga every day at noon,
cooperative musical chairs, African percussion circles, freeze dance yoga, scarf
dancing, and the imaginary "Going to a Bear Cave". Twice each month our music
specialist Sue Rentz visits with the children. Along with our school staff she
helps prepare the children for out Winter and Spring Festivals. We are very
fortunate to have her as a part of our school.
